Branson Ultrasonics Corp., Danbury, Conn., a business of Emerson, recently announced the appointment of Dan Douglass to VP and GM, Americas. He will oversee the American operations of Branson Ultrasonics, which makes equipment for plastic joining, ultrasonic metal joining and precision processing.
Douglass will replace Bob Tibbetts who is retiring, effective March 31, after more than 26 years with Emerson.
Douglass joined the supply chain group of Emerson, St. Louis, in 2004. He later became part of the marketing and business development team for Emerson's Appleton Group business unit, which makes electrical products. Most recently, he held the position of VP of business development and was responsible for Appleton's global growth initiatives.
Douglass holds an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
