Recycling equipment maker Vecoplan LLC, Archdale, N.C., has opened a test lab as part of its continuing expansion.
The lab has been set up to simulate real-world conditions where customers can watch their scrap being processed at different stages, from feeding to shredding and discharge operations.
The lab contains four of Vecoplan's most popular shredders and a granulator for plastics. The facility also has room to add other equipment as needed. A semi-permanent machine is horizontally fed and four are vertically fed via hoppers, the company says. The horizontal shredder is equipped with a vibration feed conveyor and pneumatic discharge system.
