Milacron Holdings Corp., Cincinnati, announced last month that it has completed the acquisition of CanGen Holdings Inc., Atlanta, a leading supplier of highly engineered aftermarket process control components for extrusion and injection molding applications. The purchase includes CanGen subsidiaries Canterbury Engineering Co. and Genca, which provide screws and barrels, tooling and crossheads and other machined metal components.
With the acquisition, Milacron gains rights to more than 185,000 designs and drawings, and will be able to offer more downstream tooling; it also takes possession of a regional center for parts and service in the U.S. Southeast. Milacron plans to build on Genca's strong presence in Mexico and throughout South America.
