Beckhoff Automation, Savage, Minn., which makes control technology, is expanding its regional office network with a 13,000-square-foot regional sales and support office in San Jose, Calif. The company plans to use the office to showcase its products and provide training for customers, with additional space for engineering labs and sales offices. Industry 4.0 is a special focus for the new office, with demonstrations on Smart Factory architectures, cloud-based systems and connectivity for using data to optimize plant conditions on a factorywide basis.
In addition to the facility in San Jose and its headquarters, the company has offices in Mechanicsburg, Pa.; Charlotte, N.C.; Woodridge, Ill.; Mill Creek, Wash.; and Mississauga, Ontario.
