Maag Pump Systems AG, Oberglatt, Switzerland, has expanded its reach with the recent acquisitions of two plastics machinery manufacturers.
Last month, Maag, a manufacturer of gear pumps and pelletizing and filtration systems, announced its purchase of Reduction Engineering Scheer, Kent, Ohio. In a press release, Maag says it plans to use the acquisition to develop business within the rotomolding industry. Maag's purchase of Reduction Engineering came just days after Maag finalized the purchase of Gala Industries Inc., Eagle Rock, Va., which manufactures underwater pelletizing systems and centrifugal pellet dryers.
Maag has said the Reduction Engineering and Gala brands will retain their names.
