Haitian reports sales, boosts Canadian presence

Haitian International, Hong Kong, reported strong growth for its all-electric Zhafir Venus and servo-hydraulic Jupiter injection molding machines in its six-month financial results for the period ending June 30. In the first half of 2015, sales of the Zhafir Venus series machines grew 25.9 percent compared to the same period in 2014, while sales of the two-platen Jupiter series grew 64.2 percent.

Haitian also reported that its Mars series machine reached a sales milestone of 130,000 units since its introduction in 2007. Overall, Haitian reported sales of $603.2 million for the period, an increase of 1 percent from the first half of 2014. Profit increased 1.7 percent to $91.7 million. Haitian is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange.

Separately, to better serve Canadian customers, Absolute Haitian Corp., Worcester, Mass., has incorporated in Canada to ease the transfer of goods from the U.S., and is planning to expand its presence in Ontario. Absolute is the exclusive sales and service partner for the company in the U.S. and Canada.

Additionally, Absolute has named Barway Plastic Equipment Inc., Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, its sales representative for the eastern part of Canada. Barway will carry Haitian servo-hydraulic molding machines and Zhafir machines and serve Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.
