Paulson Training Programs opens technical center

Aug. 24, 2015

Paulson Training Programs Inc., Chester, Conn., has opened its Plastics Academy Technical Center, a 9,000-square-foot facility in Tampa, Fla.

Classes at the center will focus on hands-on training using four injection molding machines onsite. Three hydraulic machines—a 150-ton Toyo, an 88-ton Nissei and an 80-ton Tederic—are installed at the Tech Center. Paulson is awaiting delivery of an electric Toshiba press, says a company official.

Paulson is hosting an open house Oct. 1 to launch the facility, which also features classrooms, a computer lab and a quality-control lab. Separately, Paulson also is offering a new thermoforming training course, "Thin Sheet Thermoforming," available in CD and online versions. This is a 10-hour interactive training program that is being led by Mark Strachan, Paulson's lead technical consultant for the program and a top trainer and consultant in the thermoforming industry.
