Rethink Robotics Inc., Boston, and Sonoco Alloyd, DeKalb, Ill., have formed a strategic alliance to incorporate collaborative robots into Sonoco's line of sealing machines. This will allow Sonoco Alloyd's customers to more fully automate their custom packaging lines. Rethink Robotics' Baxter and Sawyer robots will be sold as part of an integrated part-transfer and sealing system.
