Manufactured in Nanjing, China, Coperion's latest twin-screw extruder is made for high-throughput masterbatch production, as well as other applications. The new STS series machine offers greater power and torque. It boasts a lower melt temperature and throughput up to 27 percent better than previous models.

STS Mc11 Manufactured in Nanjing, China, Coperion's latest twin-screw extruder is made for high-throughput masterbatch production, as well as other applications. The model is part of Coperion's mid-tier STS machines, sold at lower prices than its premium ZSK models.

What's new? New hoppers and redesigned die head, base frame and gearbox, made in Europe to meet high quality standards. The extruder's screw speed has increased from 800 to 900 revolutions per minute, compared to earlier models.

Benefits Greater power and torque. Due to higher screw filling, the machine boasts a lower melt temperature and a throughput up to 27 percent better than previous models. Changes to the gearbox have made the machine more efficient and reliable, while the upgraded hoppers and die head allow for easy cleaning, fast recipe changes and better handling. In addition, changes in the base frame give the machine greater stiffness and dampen vibrations, ensuring smooth operation while providing greater protection to workers. This design is also expected to increase the machine's longevity.
