New Era Converting Machinery Inc.

New Era Converting Machinery Inc., Paterson, N.J., has made a number of personnel moves. The company, which provides custom-designed equipment for web handling, including coating, laminating, calendaring and drying systems, has hired Aurelian "Ray" Coca as its new project manager. Previously, Coca spent 25 years working with a systems integration company.

In addition, New Era has appointed German Laverde its representative in Central and South America. Laverde, director of Plasto International LLC, Naperville, Ill., will help New Era in its efforts to improve customer support and further penetrate the Latin American market.

Gary Greenwood, who formerly designed, set up and managed an electronics factory in China as a member of the Belton Technology Group, Hong Kong, has been named New Era's director of operations for its Asian market. He is charged with increasing the company's presence in Asia.
