QMI Inc., Pryor, Okla., which makes moving web-hole punching machines, has invested $750,000 to open a machine and tool shop at its Tahlequah, Okla., facility.
With the expansion, which includes the addition of five employees, QMI will be able to provide new services and develop new markets. The company plans to become ISO certified, and it anticipates hiring even more employees.
QMI serves a number of markets, including the packaging industry. It expects a 20 percent to 25 percent increase in sales this year.
