May 28, 2015

KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH, Munich, announced at Chinaplas that it is expanding the MX Series of injection molding machines, which are built in China for the Asian market.

KraussMaffei started manufacturing the MX Series in Haiyan, China, in 2012. The two new models will have 3,000 tons and 3,600 tons of clamping force.  The larger machines are aimed at the automotive industry. KraussMaffei said the MX Series has been popular for molders in the packaging and logistics industries.

Christian Blatt, KraussMaffei Group's CEO in China, said in a press release that the series has a hydromechanical two-platen clamping unit developed by his company that enables faster production and low-maintenance operation.
