Extrusion machinery supplier Mecanor Oy, Lahti, Finland, has purchased Extron Engineering Oy, Toijala, Finland. Extron, a manufacturer of extrusion equipment for films and pipe, was the plastics machinery subsidiary of Uponor Infra Oy, part of Uponor Corp., Vantaa, Finland.
Exton had 2014 sales of about $6 million and employs 19 in Toijala. Mecanor serves manufacturers of plastic pipe and profiles with automated lines for seal ring insertion, socketing, belling and other downstream operations. Terms were not disclosed.
