Rinco Ultrasonics USA Inc., Danbury, Conn., has opened a fully equipped machine and tool operation at its Danbury headquarters in response to growing demand for its ultrasonic welding equipment, the company announced at NPE. The $350,000 expansion includes CNC machinery as well as conventional machining equipment, and brings machining capability in-house for the first time. Rinco also hired two employees to staff the machining and tooling operation. The expansion will allow the company to reduce delivery times and improve quality control of all its machine components.
Separately, Rinco's FPA series of ultrasonic pouch sealing systems have received certification from Underwriters Laboratories and the Canadian Standards Association.
