Thermoforming machinery maker Lyle Industries LLC of Beaverton, Mich., will be moving into the same facility with sister company Brown Machine LLC by the end of July, officials announced during NPE2015. Brown Machine specializes in continuous thermoforming and cut sheet thermoforming machines along with trim presses, lip rollers, pre-heater ovens and custom equipment. Lyle's specialty includes roll-fed thermoforming and bottle trimming equipment.

Both the companies are committed to keeping their own brands, officials said during interviews at NPE2015.

Brown Machine and Lyle now are under the same ownership of Thermoforming Technologies Group LLC (TTG), which is the private equity consortium that operates under Spell Capital Partners, Minneapolis. Brown was acquired in 2008 and Lyle was added to the portfolio last year.

Lyle's existing facility is owned by the Schwartz family. The Schwartz family retired in 2014 when it sold Lyle to TTG. Brown has upgraded and expanded its facility, investing just over $1 million for assembly in a project that included the addition of 13,000 square feet.

In addition, TTG has signed a contract with Gabler Thermoform GmbH & Co. KG, Lübeck, Germany, for marketing, sales and parts stocking. Lyle and Gabler have had an alliance since 2000. Gabler now will sell and market Brown machines.
