Blown film extrusion line maker Reifenhäuser Kiefel, Troisdorf, Germany, now is known as Reifenhäuser Blown Film.
Reifenhäuser Group, Troisdorf, had acquired Kiefel Extrusion GmbH in 2009 from Brückner Group GmbH, Siegsdorf, Germany.
By changing its name, Reifenhäuser is acknowledging the full integration of the business, officials said in a press release. The company also announced that it will make a strategic expansion in blown film for its Worms, Germany, facility.
The company will makes a cash investment of more than 2 million euros ($2.25 million) to expand manufacturing. That expansion will include new machining centers and a new 3-D measuring machine.
The investments will help officials optimize material flow, expand capacities and sustainably ensure quality for future demands, according to Bernd Reifenhäuser, CEO of Reifenhäuser Group.
The CEO of Reifenhäuser Blown Film is Fritz Dorner, who took over the position Oct. 1.
