Industrial Molds Inc., Rockford, Ill., plans to invest $1.4 million as it expands its capabilities. That investment will include plant renovations and new equipment.
As part of its plan to complete a total technical upgrade, the company is updating is wire EDM equipment to have the ability to automate the threading and give it lights-out capabilities. Officials in February installed a free-standing 2-ton crane system that will accommodate larger mold base sizes.
