Lien Fa Injection Molding Machinery Co. Ltd., Taichung City, Taiwan, now has robots in its repertoire.
Its robots are 3-axis for its line of injection molding machines ranging from 30-4,000 ton.
The injection molding machinery firm is represented in North America by Fultech Service Group, Kitchener, Ontario. Steve Fowler, president and CEO of Fultech, told PMM that it still will offer 6-axis robots from ABB Ltd. Lien Fa's machines are based on its customized modular design. At Fultech's tech center and training site in Kitchener, its machines include Lien's MT II Series. That series is specifically designed for clamping forces above 900 tons.
Fowler said Fultech has been extremely busy and has had great foot traffic at 2014 trade shows in North America, including Plastec East in New York and ExpoPlast in Montreal.
