    Milacron education program reaches Utah

    Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is the latest recipient of machinery from Milacron LLC, Batavia, Ohio. Through Milacron's Education Partnership Program, the college has a new Magna T Servo injection molding machine.

    In July, SLCC started an intensive training program to support its local business community. In two sessions, each lasting four weeks, the college trains inexperienced workers in injection molding. Its molding lab has three machines and can accommodate up to five. SLCC also has been offering an advanced composites technician training for about five years.

    Its goal with the injection molding program is to train up to 15 students every eight weeks.

Materials that Arburg or its customers have worked with include paper, fiberglass cellulose and plant fiber.
