MBD The all-electric double-station extrusion blow molding machines in this series from Tahara, a subsidiary of Japan Steel Works (JSW), can make containers with capacities between 300 milliliters and 1.5 liters. Users of the machines have access to remote maintenance help.
What’s new? The series. At the K show, Tahara will use an MBD-C33A/54E2Z-AP(C3) to mold three-layer, 1-liter bottles, using Tahara’s coextrusion die head to produce a middle layer composed of post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin.
Benefits The ability to mold bottles with sustainable materials such as post-consumer recyclate (PCR), PE containing calcium carbonate, and bio-based resins in the middle layer. The machines' screw design, featuring barrier flights, a Maddock mixer and dam flights, ensures excellent mixing and uniform dispersion of PCR materials.
