R&B's new blow molding machine is flexible, efficient

The RBS-E550D all-electric shuttle EBM machine can accommodate tri-layer applications.

RBS-E550D R&B Plastics Machinery launched its new all-electric shuttle extrusion blow molding machine at NPE. It features a heavy-walled steel tube and steel plate frame construction with walk-in molding area and top-of-machine access platforms for long life and easy maintenance, along with in-machine deflashing with center-of-machine scrap removal, and servo electric part takeout system. Yaskawa X absolute servo motors and drives provide fast, smooth machine motions. The RBS-E550D can accommodate tri-layer applications; at NPE, it was configured with a W. Müller 2 x 250mm CD tri-layer die head and WM-096 manual screen changer system. The Siemens touch-screen control system is focused on easy navigation, and the machine can be accessed remotely for technical support.
