Triad Precision Products Inc., a full-service machine shop that produces a wide range of components for the extrusion blow molding industry, has a new owner.

Don Maines, who has served as VP of Triad, bought the company from his father, Ken Maines, who founded it in 1991. Maines completed his purchase on Feb. 17, and is now the president and owner of Triad.

Maines said he has worked for the company since it opened and has worn many hats along the way. He started by running a milling machine, went on to become shop foreman, progressed to drafting, and then added sales to his responsibilities. He said when the company moved to its current location in 2000, he shifted to working in the office full-time handling sales and drafting. In 2014, his father became ill, and from that point Maines has led the company.

Triad has 25 employees and is in Thomasville, N.C.
