Visi Distributed by TST Tooling Software Technology, this CAD/CAM software package from Vero Software, Cheltenham, England, offers surface and solid modeling, 3-D tool design, plastic flow analysis and comprehensive multi-axis milling strategies.

What's new? The latest version, called Visi 2018 R1, featuring new automated mold tool functions. The new functions include the ability to create nonstandard mold bases and saved designs as templates. The new version also touts enhancements for controlling warpage and calculating flow rates and pressures.

Benefits Greater flexibility when constructing nonstandard tool configurations. With its customizable templates, mold makers can easily create, adjust and optimize tool layouts. In addition, with enhancements to the Flow module, mold makers can more accurately and quickly predict warpage problems involving complex technical polymers. The program also has been updated to more easily export CAD files to a PC.
