The Sidel Group, Parma, Italy, now is offering two new service plans:
• Time & Material, for customized preventive maintenance, and• Fixed Price, for condition-based maintenance at a fixed cost.
"By choosing the agreement best suited to their needs, [businesses] can achieve control of maintenance costs over time and predictability in production output, for increased equipment availability," said Pavel Shevchuk, executive VP of services for Sidel Inc., which makes equipment for blown film and bottle making as part of the Sidel Group.
Because the machine operator's expertise is also an important factor in overall productivity and performance, the Sidel Group also announced a new skills matrix assessment that identifies an employee's competence and provides a detailed overview of existing vs. required skills.
