Micro Medical Guill's new extrusion crosshead uses very fine adjustment screws to achieve precise concentricity in the production of medical tubing. Features include a cam-lock deflector for quick changeovers, with a residence time of 1 minute at a rate of 0.5 pound of material flow per hour. The crosshead is compatible with 0.5-inch and 0.75-inch dies, with inner diameters no bigger than 0.25 inch.

What's new? The crosshead, which Guill introduced in February at MD&M West in Anaheim, Calif.

Benefits Concentricity of within 0.008 inch or better per revolution. Also, the crosshead provides flexibility, as it's compatible with vacuum and micro-air accessories, and is suited for both pressure and sleeving applications.
