Toyoda's new bridge mill can handle heavy cutting

    Toyoda's new vertical double-column bridge mill is suited for the manufacture of large mold and die workpieces.

    Stealth VB315 Designed for heavy cutting and three-axis machining, Toyoda's new vertical double-column bridge mill is suited for the manufacture of large mold and die workpieces. Its machining heads are capable of reaching speeds of 6,000 revolutions per minute and can attain more than 6,200 newton meters of torque. Heavy-duty linear guides and ball screws allow for up to 22,000 pounds of rigid machining.

    What's new? The machine, which was featured in September during the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago.
