Promix's patent-pending die features special spiral mixing channels to maintain uniform temperatures within the melt.

Q1 annular die Designed for extrusion foaming applications involving expanded PS, PE, PET and PP, Promix's patent-pending die features special spiral mixing channels to maintain uniform temperatures within the melt. In the picture, the die is paired with Promix's PI cooling mixer, which is also new to the U.S.

What's new? The die. The subject of beta testing in Europe, it is newly available in the U.S.

Benefits More homogeneous melt. By maintaining an even temperature and flow, the annular die allows for a homogeneous foam structure, with small cell size, leading to lower foam density and thinner wall thicknesses. This reduces production time and raw material requirements.
