Sidel has expanded the use of its preform decontamination module, to further its use in aseptic production.  It  uses hydrogen peroxide before the preforms move to an oven, where the hydrogen peroxide evaporates.

Predis Sidel has expanded the use of its preform decontamination module, to further its use in aseptic production. The Predis is used to decontaminate preforms with hydrogen peroxide before the preforms move to an oven, where the hydrogen peroxide evaporates. The technology is especially appropriate for makers of bottles used to store dairy products and preservative-free beverages, such as juices, nectars and teas.

What's new? The inclusion of the Predis technology as standard equipment with the latest generation of modular Sidel Matrix blowing and Combi equipment. Sidel Matrix Predis produces up to 60,000 bottles per hour, while Sidel Matrix Combi Predis FMa, which includes an aseptic filler, can produce up to 2,300 bottles per mold per hour.

Benefits Greater flexibility for beverage producers to handle a wide variety of sensitive beverages aseptically.
