L2X Ewikon's upgraded drop-in hot-runner system is available in hot-tip or valve-gate configurations. The nozzles provide good thermal profiles using the same integrated heater design found in all standard Ewikon nozzles. The system has nozzles in lengths of up to 13.8 inches and flow-channel diameters measuring between about 0.2 and 0.5 inch. Options include heat-conductive tips and a variety of gating versions.

What's new? The system, which was introduced at Fakuma. It replaces an earlier version of the L2X, making use of a new manifold, mounting collar and nozzles.

Benefits Simplified, leak-proof mold design, consistent heating and reliable performance, allowing the L2X to be used with a wide range of materials. The new manifold design allows system users to position the nozzles as they want them, without affecting heating quality. The system, which is assembled and wired before installation, can be taken apart and reassembled easily for maintenance. In addition, due to the design of its valve pins and nozzles, the company says the hot-runner is wear-resistant.
