Sidel moving headquarters, cutting jobs to streamline

Sept. 23, 2015

As part of a reorganization designed to streamline operations and reduce costs, Sidel International AG will move its headquarters from Zug, Switzerland, to Parma, Italy, in 2016 and reduce its workforce by 360 workers, or about 10 percent. The Parma site is the company's center of excellence for complete lines and filling.

Sidel, which supplies blow molding equipment for PET bottles, says the cost savings will be invested into product development. The new company structure, which will be completed in early 2016, will have fewer management levels and will allow the company to operate in a way that is more focused on customers, Sidel said in a press release.
