ISIT 1300 ST Soffiaggio Tecnica srl, Monza, Italy, is touting its accumulator head blow molding machine for producing containers with volumes up to 396 gallons. The machine uses a three-platen clamping system, with the force applied to the rear of each platen by a cross beam. This avoids an unbalanced transmission of clamping force to the mold platen and allows for the use of oversized molds that are larger than the platens. The clamping movement has a rack synchronization system, prismatic guides with roller bearings and two diagonal tie bars. Head shot size is 40 liters.

What's new? Availability in the U.S. through representative Hollo Plastics Equipment.

Benefits High quality, energy savings and the ability to produce very large parts. The two cardioid accumulator heads provide a layered and balanced structure to the parison. The extrusion of the material and parison thickness are controlled on 500 points, for high part quality. The single-screw extruders feature high output with smaller screw diameters, which reduces power consumption.
