Model 65 hybrid injection blow molding machine This hybrid IBM machine, which Jomar exhibited in prototype at Germany's K 2013 show, made its debut at NPE. The Model 65 hybrid, like its hydraulic counterpart, features a 52-ton preform clamp and 17-ton blow mold clamp, with various production possibilities for shape, shot size, material type and cavitation.
What's new? An indexing head and plastifier driven by electric motors, making it a hybrid equivalent to Jomar's fully hydraulic Model 65. The hybrid also has smaller hydraulics for clamp opening and closing and includes all the standard features of the hydraulic Model 65, such as a programmable touch screen, screw speed tachometer, two pressure blow air and preform injection, preform hot water manifold, blow mold cooling manifold, and the ability to retain more than 250 sets of process parameters.
Benefits A 35 percent reduction in energy consumption compared to its hydraulic counterpart, but with the same speed and production capabilities.
