StackTeck has improved the closing device capability on these in-mold closing (IMC) flip-top molds, which feature a living hinge that can be closed while plastic is still hot.

Flip-top IMC mold  StackTeck has improved the closing device capability on these in-mold closing (IMC) flip-top molds, which feature a living hinge that can be closed while plastic is still hot. Often used for caps and closures, the technology can accommodate other small applications, like disposable cutlery.

What's new?  There is a smaller footprint of the mold making design of the closing arms, so it is more compact and allows higher cavitation in any press size. The closing device now provides precise guidance for special flip-top applications with narrow hinges or unusual part shapes.

Benefits  A broader range of applications. Also, the design footprint of the closing arms reduces stroke distance required for closing, for the fastest possible cycle times while ensuring quality and reducing costs.
