Magics Materialise’s Magics software provides users with a host of tools to simplify tasks for preparing 3D design files to be 3D printed. It can accept almost all file formats, and retains native color information, while giving users the ability to optimize slicing and orientation tasks for the machine they will print on. The software contains modules to adapt it to the exact technology being used to print the part, including selective laser sintering, binder jetting, stereolithography and metal laser-based powder bed fusion. Magics helps make print runs more efficient by allowing users to visualize their particular 3D printer to maximize the number of parts that can fit on a build platform.
What’s new? The ability to shift between CAD and mesh workflows within Magics 26. Materialise has licensed Siemens’ Parasolid software, which makes this possible. Magics 26 will be available this spring.
Benefits Seamless transitions between CAD and mesh-based tasks. It is common for users to need to use both types of operations and Magics’ new capabilities will make this possible without the need for time-consuming and error-prone data translation steps. Customers with a maintenance contract can update to Magics 26 for free.
