San Francisco-based Mantle, which makes 3D printers that can produce molds and tooling, has made additions to its leadership team. Dana McCallum has been named VP of sales and Mark Sloan has joined as VP of manufacturing.

McCallum is a six-year veteran of Carbon, where she developed and led the Carbon Production Network, which linked injection molders and service bureaus to produce parts with Carbon’s technology. “I have devoted my career to helping manufacturers realize value through new technologies,” McCallum said. She serves on the board of Women in 3D Printing and the SPE Additive Manufacturing group.

Sloan comes to Mantle from Sentient Energy, an IoT utility sensor firm, where he built the company’s manufacturing organization and was executive VP of manufacturing. Prior to that, he was VP of operations at Finesse Solutions, a life sciences sensor company acquired by Thermo Fisher.

“I have commissioned hundreds of tools throughout my career and I understand firsthand how lengthy and expensive tool development cycles can be — and how they slow product development and launch schedules,” Sloan said.
