3-D printer manufacturer BCN3D acquires AstroPrint
Spanish 3-D printer manufacturer BCN3D announced it has acquired San Diego-based AstroPrint, a company known for its cloud-based software that allows users to easily and efficiently manage 3-D printers.
AstroPrint has more than 200,000 registered users from 130 countries, and its software is used with an average of 2,000 printers simultaneously. BCN3D will maintain AstroPrint as an independent platform and will continue to develop new functionalities for its user base.
Based in Barcelona, BCN3D develops and manufactures 3-D printers that have been installed in more than 60 countries.
