Filament spools cut waste, are reusable

Slant Reusable Spools Keene Village Plastics, a supplier of plastic filament for 3-D printing, has introduced reusable filament spools. Available in three sizes, the two-piece spools snap together and are used in conjunction with the company's Filament Koil brand of filament, or any filament that is supplied without a spool. Cost ranges from $16.25 to $37.50, depending on the size; users also can download and print the spools at no charge.

What's new? The spools, and their simple, snap-together design.

Benefits Waste elimination. 3-D printing companies can reuse the same spools over and over. Also, Slant Reusable Spools are printed from recycled plastic.
