3-D printers 3D Systems is upgrading its Projet 6000 and Projet 7000 (shown) stereolithography printers, which are compatible with a range of plastics. The printers are suited for creating a variety of products, such as complex assemblies, jigs, fixtures, models and customized parts for orthodontic and dental applications.
What's new? 3D Connect cloud-based software, which enables predictive maintenance and remote support. New Projet 6000 and Projet 7000 machines will ship with the ability to support 3D Connect in the first half of 2018. Existing printers can be enabled by installing the appropriate firmware, 3D Connect hardware adapter and software.
