Olsson Ruby Stockholm 3-D printing technology company 3DVerkstan AB has released a new nozzle for printing common fused-deposition and fused-filament materials, including polylactic acid, PET, ABS and nylon. The Olsson Ruby, which is compatible with a variety of 3-D printers, is made of brass with a ruby tip. Dynamism and fbrc8 both offer the nozzle to buyers in the U.S.

What's new? The nozzle. Originally made available in a 2.85mm size, it is now also offered in a 1.75mm version.

Benefits Durability. The brass nozzle has high heat conductivity, and the ruby tip is abrasion-resistant, so it performs well, even with materials like carbon-fiber-reinforced plastics.
