Software upgrade boosts functionality of Stratasys printers

Stratasys has upgraded its Objet Connex3 line of 3-D printers, which are designed to create multicolor, multimaterial, intricate parts that have the same appearance, form and function as parts made via conventional manufacturing.

What's new? The Stratasys Creative Colors software, powered by the Adobe 3D Color Print Engine. The software offers an expanded color spectrum, support for improved patterns and textures, and accurate color previews. Also, the company has reduced the complexity of the printers.

Benefits Ease of use and better value. Stratasys said the goal of the upgraded product is to make multicolor and multimaterial 3-D printing accessible to more users. Stratasys does not disclose pricing, but says the improved printers have a much better price-to-performance ratio.
