Good morning, and Happy Thanksgiving to our U.S. readers!
Before coming to PMM, I was a newspaper features editor, and this time of year readers would call us with cooking questions. One caller asked me if it was OK to truss her turkey with plastic twine. I knew that was bad, and told her so. But if I got that same call today, I could tell her so much more about why it was bad!
Today's podcast episode looks at advanced recycling, which uses chemicals or heat (much hotter than 350 degrees in the oven) to turn plastics back into monomers for reuse. Since we're taking the long weekend off, we're also sharing some of our favorite stories from the past year.
We're thankful for you, readers.
