PD30 Carlo Gavazzi’s PD30 series of photoelectric sensors are designed for versatile and intelligent sensing, allowing accurate detection of objects of various sizes, shapes and surfaces. They are available with a range of sensing modes, emitters and housing types, making them appropriate for use in packaging, materials handling and other plastics industry applications.
What’s new? An expansion of the product line with the launch of the PD30 IO-Link Series photoelectric sensors. The new sensors come with four preprogrammed application functions: speed and length; pattern recognition; divider/counter; and object- and gap-monitoring. Each function has been developed to optimize common industry tasks. An IO-Link configurator is required during installation to change the sensor’s settings; however, it is not needed to use the application functions, making the sensors accessible for users without an IO-Link operating environment.
Benefits Fast, accurate sensing and greater functionality. Because only one sensor is needed for multiple functions, inventory and costs can be reduced. Additionally, the sensors feature early warning capabilities to facilitate preventive maintenance and provide fast troubleshooting via integrated logging functions.
